I just rec'd a beautiful Thangka painting as a birthday present. I have hung it in an "altar" in my home, but am wondering if there is a prefered way to tie off the cover cloth when I want to view it. The painting has two long ribbons which hang down the length of the painting and also a small loop of strong across the top of the painting and I'm sure one is to use them somehow. I've made a nice looking arrangement, but am wondering about the "traditional" way to hold up the cloth which otherwise covers and protects the painting when it is not being viewed. Instructions and/or web links would be appreciated (Google offered no help)
