What's On Your Wall?

Do you have a visual image you use in your meditation practice? What is it? How do you use it? Does it serve only as a focal point of your attention, or does it add something to the quality of your meditation?

      Hi, Rob!

Interesting collection you have...do any of them figure into your meditation or contemplative practice? Also, I was just tripping out to some of the photos on your profile page -- Dekkar, and Visual Echo -- Amazing! Did you take these?

    i have dream walls
which have spilled over onto a dream door
where i post sayings, pictures, all sorts of images
    sometimes just a word
("DECISION" is the biggest & brightest in the bunch--yellow, black, red & white)
i could meditate just on avatars
or practically anything in od's photo gallery
or the photo gallery of tribe member prometheuspan
i have the fool osho zen tarot card prominently displayed
i walk to/from the office to work during the week
    i meditate on the flowers
    when i'm on a teleconference
i meditate on the words being spoken
while staring at my screen saver of many colors and designs
sometimes i get out my alex grey deck of sacred mirrors cards
or my glossy color rich book the mystery tradition of secret symbols and sacred art by james wasserman
or the colorful crystal bible by judy hall
or sometimes i will simply sit quietly with eckhart tolle's findhorn retreat book and meditate on the images there
and then sometimes i just sit at my computer desk
and stare at the spines of dozens of books stacked up against the wall
and as i move my eyes up & down the pile
i reflect on the contents of each, absorbing their richness
    but mostly
i just sit with piles of colored (and white) paper
with my hundreds of markers crayons and colored pencils
    in every color imaginable
and scribble and doodle and smell (i love the smell of crayons)
and look up at my walls
    which are also brightly colored
    one red
    one yellow
    one white
and the wooden floor is golden amber
    ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
